Equipment and Service
At kilitreks and Safaris we have dedicated office staff, safari and climbing teams and the best quality equipment, which we maintain to the highest standard.
Once we receive your request, we put all the logistics and trained local people in place so you can sit back and enjoy your vacation time.
Kili trekking prices are based on the number of climbers for each booking request.
Some of our previous Kili trekkers have taken the trouble to make suggestions, which we are happy to present to you as our Kilimanjaro climbing 'Upgrade Service'.
Wildlife safaris are priced individually based on the wildlife areas visited, the number of safari days, the safari accommodation requested and the number of people booking. Click for a quick link to the Safari Service details on this page
Please note - safaris that visit Serengeti National Park or Ngorongoro Crater are more expensive.
The service conditions on this web page apply only to Kilimanjaro and safari bookings for a minimum of two people when requesting our web programs.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

Being a wilderness destination, medical infrastructure in major centers is remote from many locations visited. Therefore cover for medical evacuation by a Tanzania based scheme is recommended in case of a medical emergency. This is especially relevant to those climbing Kilimanjaro. Government provision of emergency medical response does not exist in Tanzania and so is carried out by specialist private local medical operators. While international medical insurance is essential, it should be combined with a scheme provided by a local medical evacuation operator in order to prevent delay in mobilizing effective local emergency response. We have included insurance cover for 14 days. 30 days cover also available.
Not included:

Wildlife Safari Service
safaris are priced individually based on the wildlife areas visited, the chosen accommodation, the number of people booking together and the number of days on safari.
Please note:
- The most expensive wildlife safaris areas to visit are Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater
- A camping safari is not a luxury option. However, we provide comfortable tents, sleeping mattresses, dining equipment and a chef to prepare scrumptious bush meals
Unlike some other companies, we do not join people together on safari. Our wildlife safaris are private and designed with you in mind. Take a look at the Tanzania Safaris page for options.
Some of our guests request a safari with another activity (Kili trekking or Zanzibar island). We therefore quote hotel nights (before and after safari) and airport transfers separately.
Safari Service includes:
- Pre-departure safari information
- Welcome orientation and daily briefing
- Safari adapted 4-wheel drive Land Rover Defenders or Toyota Landcruisers with viewing roof hatch and HF radio
- Services of a knowledgeable driver-guide

- Camping safari includes:
- large canvas, high dome tent, sleeping mattress, dining table, seats
