| Marangu route kilimanjaro | An gradual ascent which continues to be the most popular route for climbing Mt kilimanjaro. Climbers sleep in bunks in shared A-frame huts. Toilets, dining and wash rooms (cold water) are available. Climbers ascend and descend on the Marangu route. |

| Machame route kilimanjaro | Machame route follows a rugged up and down trail. Hike high, sleep low is good for acclimatization. There is a challenging scramble up Baranco wall (easier than t looks). Descent is via Mweka route. A Kilimanjaro climb with basic camping and toilet facilities. Recommended Route |

| Rongai route kilimanjaro | A dusty adventurous drive takes you to Rongai gate on the east of mount Kilimanjaro. Rongai route starts easy. The ascent is gradual but trekking days get longer heading towards Kibo hut. Join Marangu route for summit and descent. A camping only route. |

| Umbwe route kilimanjaro | This Kili trekking camping route gains altitude quickly to join the south circuit route (Machame route) for the summit ascent. Climbers need a good level of fitness. A rest day is built into the program. Umbwe route is spectacular and little used. Descent is via Mweka. |

| Shira Plateau kilimanjaro | A western approach route starts with a 4X4 track ride almost to the edge of the forest to start hiking to the first camp beneath the Morum Hill. Then on to the Shira Plateau to join the south circuit (Machame) for the summit ascent via Barafu. A camping only climb. |
